What makes a great Preacher? I'm not speaking here of traits all preachers should have (character, etc.). I would love to hear what you think makes a great preacher? Are there traits, practices or fabrics that separate those who excel at the preaching from those who are "adequate" or "poor."
I'll name one I've noticed as a starter. Consistency. Great preachers are nearly always good. There isn't a lot of variety in the quality of substance or delivery week-to-week. They don't hit a "home run" one week and "strike out" the next. This is usually because they are consistent in preparation. That consistency shows up in consistenly, quality preaching.
Think about those you would label as "a great preacher." What else do you see?
